Who we are

This website is operated by Trades On, a sole trader based in Edinburgh, Scotland, providing website services to tradesmen in Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

We have assessed our data processing obligations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Given our minimal data footprint — described in full below — we operate with a privacy-first approach, relying on established third-party processors who each maintain their own legal frameworks and compliance obligations.

What data we collect

Trades On does not operate a contact form, mailing list, newsletter, or account registration system. We do not directly collect or store personal data from visitors to this website.

The only data-related activity on this site is anonymised website analytics, described in the cookies section below.

How to contact us

We provide two contact channels. Both are operated by third-party platforms under their own legal frameworks — no contact data is processed or stored by Trades On directly.

• Email — clicking our email link opens your own email client. Any message you send is processed by your email provider and ours. We do not operate a server-side contact form.
• WhatsApp — operated by Meta Platforms Inc., subject to Meta's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Trades On has no access to Meta's infrastructure or data.

Payments & subscriptions

All payments and subscription billing are handled exclusively by Stripe. Trades On does not collect, process, or store any payment data, card details, or banking information.

Stripe acts as an independent data controller for all financial data and operates under its own ICO registration, PCI-DSS compliance framework, and privacy obligations. By subscribing, you enter into a direct relationship with Stripe governed by their terms.

Cookies

This website uses a limited number of cookies. We do not use advertising, tracking, retargeting, or social media cookies.
